The trip was undertaken by 10 people driving 5 historic Series Land Rover vehicles from the 1960's and 1970's. Most of the journey's time was spent in the Sahara desert, especially in the area around Douz, Tembaine, Ksar Ghilane on the eastern edge of the Grand Erg Oriental.
