The running gear was Jeep with a Rover main gearbox and engine. It has been built from photos to a very exacting scale. The original was broken up when the first pre productions were being trailed so does not exist, contrary to many rumours. There were at least 2 stages of the Centre Steer with changes for tyres, chassis, axle paint colours, winch mock up and many minor changes. This replica was built to represent the last stage of development. It is a very good copy of what the original model would have looked like.
