BNB 615B, Chassis No. 25201678A, 2.25 Petrol: These unusual Land Rovers were built by Roadless Traction of Hounslow for customers needing a vehicle with superb traction and ground clearance. The model was known known as the Forest Rover. Most of the appoximately 20 vehicles built went overseas, but a few stayed in the U.K. This one, registered as BNB 615B, was purchased new by C.E.G.B. in Rhyder North Wales for use while building the dam there. In 1964 it was collected from Manchaster and driven 200 miles to its work site! Since 1989 the Forest Rover lives in Dunsfold and has undergone a major rebuild to be presented at the Dunsfold Collection Open Day 2006.
