Asia, Vietnam, Hue. Statue at the royal tomb of Thieu Tri. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, Hue is honoured for its complex of historic monuments. Emperor Thieu Tri, the son of Minh Mang, reigned just seven years and did not have the opportunity to build his own tomb during his lifetime. His son, Tu Duc, built this permanent tomb Lang Thieu Tri in 1848. Today, the tomb is an extremely tranquil and quiet place.
