1975 Military Land Rover 101 Forward Control Ambulance prototype - 67 FL 61. Automotive trademarks are the property of the trademark holder, authorization may be needed for some uses. --- Vehicle Information: Vehicle belongs to the Dunsfold Collection of Land Rovers: Chassis number 95900033A, Registration RGN 239P / 67 FL 61, Engine 3.5 V8 petrol 12V, Gearbox 4-speed LT85. --- Vehicle History: This is the first ambulance to be converted by Marshall of Cambridge. The most noticeable difference is the large air intake above the windscreen and different drain gutters along the body. This is also fitted with air conditioning. Normal production types had n.b.c. air filters above the crew area. This could cary 4 stretchers or 8 sitting casualties. The condition of this 101 is very good having only had 2 paint jobs from new. It went to the gulf with the Ghurkha regiment, and spent the rest of the time with the Royal Artillery.Chassis number 33 makes this a very early chassis dating from 1975. The ambulance variant was not put into service until late 1977.
