Asia, Vietnam, Hoi An. Hoi An old quarter. View across the Thu Bon river onto the beautiful Bach Dang river promenade with it's romantic Hoa Anh Dao (Saigon Times Club) restaurant. The historic buildings, attractive tube houses, and decorated community halls have 1999 earned Hoi An's old quarter the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To protect the old quarter's character stringent conversation laws prohibit alterations to buildings, as well as the presence of cars on the roads.
