View onto the bulkhead of the very first 1948 production Land Rover, Chassis No. R860001, Registration HUE 477. Shugborough, UK, 1998. NO RELEASES AVAILABLE. Automotive trademarks are the property of the trademark holder, authorization may be needed for some uses. --- Info: This is the very first 1948 production Land Rover, chassis number R860001. Still in existence, as an unreplacebale part of motor history, but in a very rotten condition it was displayed in 1998 at the Land Rover Series 1 Club event in Shugborough. It was registered with a Warwickshire registration number as HUE 477, giving a hint that it once was a factory vehicle. It was sold in the 50's to a farmer in a small valley. In 1970 it changed hands again for the pricey sum of 15 Pounds. In 1995 it was discovered by a small bunch of Series I buffs but not yet shown to the public.
