Asia, Vietnam, Hue. Stairs up to the gate to Van Mieu (Temple of Literature). Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, Hue is honoured for its complex of historic monuments. Aside the river Huong (Perfume River), the tiny Temple of Literature (Van Mieu) was built by emperor Gia Long to replace the venerable Temple of Literature n Hanoi.
