1970 Land Rover Series 3 88in RHD chassis no. 1 fitted by Land Rover engineering with a 2200cc Rover car engine. Dunsfold Collection of Land Rovers Open Day 1999, Dunsfold, Surrey, UK. --- Vehicle History: This vehicle started life as a left hand drive 4-cyl petrol until 1971 when engine options were on the cards. Land Rover enginee ring fitted the ohc car engine as a trial. To do this the vehicle was converted to right hand drive because the carb fouled on the steering box. Apart from hoses, exhaust, air filter, and bell housing it is pretty standard. Performance is nippy but it has no low down torque, however, it is quite economical. --- No releases available, but releases may not be necessary for certain uses.
