1970 Range Rover VELAR pre-production, first to be converted to an Ambulance - YVB 158H. Dunsfold Collection of Land Rovers 2011, Dunsfold, Surrey, UK. --- No releases available, but releases may not be necessary for certain uses. Automotive trademarks are the property of the trademark holder, authorization may be needed for some uses. --- Vehicle Information: Belonging to the Dunsfold Collection of Land Rovers: Chassis number 35500010A, registration number YVB 158H, engine type 3.5 L petrol, gearbox type: 4-speed manual. --- Vehicle History: Range Rover YVB 158H is one of the pre-production Velar vehicles and was the first to be stretched and converted to an ambulance. The body was built by Wadham Stringer. This is possibly the most original Velar, having never needed to be restored. It was owned and used by the British Red Cross until 1991 when it was sold to collector. In 2001 YVB 158H was purchased by Dunsfold. Many original features still exist like the smooth dash and aluminium bonnet.
